Website Development Process
At Dixon
Solutions, we follow a specific development process to ensure success in your
experiences with us.
Initial Website Consultation
At this stage we simply meet with the client to determine website design and
structure specifications. We ask the client numerous questions and complete a
detailed questionnaire on color choices, site structure, areas for improvement
with the current website, etc. This initial consultation is usually free or
included in the design fee.
Website Design
The next step is to develop a design for the website based on the client’s
specifications. This can be the longest part of the development process because,
even though we are a great and talented company, we may not get it right the
first time, or the second. At this stage we work very closely with the client
developing and changing the design until the client is satisfied.
Website Design Approval
Once we decide on a website design, we request written approval from the client
to formally close the design process and move forward.
Content Inclusion / Conversion
At this stage, Dixon Solutions will request from you content for your site.
Content includes any text, images, downloadable documents, etc. that you would
like displayed on your website.
Website Prototype Review and Testing
During and after the completion of the content inclusion/conversion stage, a
demonstration site will be set up. The client will be asked to carefully review
the prototype and provide any changes or additions. Dixon Solutions staff will
also be carefully reviewing and testing the prototype to ensure that words are
spelled correctly, all hyperlinks work properly, the site shows up appropriately
on various browsers and screen resolutions, etc.
Website Prototype Approval
After the website prototype has been successfully reviewed and tested, we
require written approval from the client.
Website Launch
After careful review, testing, and approval, the new website is launched for the
world to see!
